‘Fuller House’ Creator Reveals If They Ever Really Considered Recasting Michelle

Season 2 of “Fuller House” is out now on Netflix and of course, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are nowhere to be seen once again. This also means that Michelle Tanner isn’t on the show at all. Business Insider shared that show creator Jeff Franklin is speaking out about if they were ever going to recast Michelle to have her on the show.

If you notice, they make several jokes about the fact that Michelle isn’t there, but she never shows up. John Stamos actually got a rumor started that they tried to cast Elizabeth Olsen in the role, but she didn’t want to do it. Jeff Franklin is saying that they were never going to recast Michelle, though. Here is what he revealed.

“It was just an idea that was out there in the wind. We were never going to recast the role. We’ll continue to reach out and let them know the door is open and we’d love to see them. And it’s going to be their call. I respect their wishes. They’re extremely busy and not actors anymore.”

After that Jeff Franklin explained that he feels like since the Olsen twins were so young when they did the show, they don’t have the same feelings about the series that the other cast members do. They were only eight when the show ended. The viewers would still love to see Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen return to “Fuller House,” but it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen.
