‘Man of Steel’ Coming in June of 2013

June of 2013 is building up to be a fantastic year for movie goers. Especially the fans of the ever present comic book movies. Probably the most anticipated summer release is “Man Of Steel.”

Zack Snyder is at the helm of this blockbuster reboot of the most iconic of all superheroes. Written by David Goyer and produced by Christopher Nolan, “Man Of Steel” promises to give fans what they have always wanted in a Superman film which his action. The much respected Richard Donner films brought forth a lighter Superman, and through the years, his films became canon. Although there are many versions of the origins, powers and outfits, one thing remains the same throughout, hope.

Zack Snyder has told fans that he will keep the respect for the mythology, but will approach this movie as though there were no other movies before it. Henry Cavill will don the red cape in this grittier and more naturalistic version of Superman. As fantastical as the notion of a superhero of this caliber, the Snyder team and cast are embracing the alien nature of the timeless character. They are not engaging the film as though it were a comic book adaption, but a “What if this were really happening” kind of way.

April 16th the third trailer was released along with the films new score by none other than Hans Zimmer himself, replacing the original and amazing John Williams score. For those of us that watched the trailer it is safe to say, wow. If the trailer was any indication of how this movie will fare on the big screen, fans are in for a fantastic treat. You can watch it below.

Hans Zimmer’s score was excellent, and far surpassed the expectations of most. “Man Of Steel” also features a star studded cast including, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Henry Cavill as Superman.
