Does the Duggar family celebrate Halloween?

Fans of the Duggars know that they are a religious family, but they always wonder about a few things. One thing that fans want to know is if the Duggars celebrate Halloween. Radar Online shared the news and it turns out that this is one holiday they don’t celebrate.

They don’t celebrate this holiday due to the connection that Halloween has to magic. Back in 2011, Michelle Duggar went to TLC and made a blog post explaining it all. It does make sense for the way that they believe. Here is what she had to say.

“While we do go to pumpkin patches and corn mazes, we don’t do the Halloween thing. From the beginning of our marriage we just kind of felt like we didn’t want to celebrate that holiday. But we enjoy the harvest celebration. Our church fellowship has had different celebrations through the years that we’ve been a part of, ones where the children can play games and receive candy and toys and do all kinds of fun things, like a cake walk.”

It does sound like they still get to celebrate fall, but Halloween is something that they don’t do. That is understandable, but the Duggar children will make their own choices when they have their own children.

I would be surprised if they did. Harvest days is a much better time to celebrate all that God has given!

I don’t like the Halloween activity for what it represents as well so I keep my porch light off
on Halloween night. My church has Hallilujah Harvest night instead for the children with
costumes that are pleasant. Candy galore for the little ones and alot of fun for everyone.
