‘The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All’ Recap 2017
Tonight was time for the big “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” special. Chris Harrison opens the show by saying they needed security and he spent some extra time in the gym. It wasn’t that serious, people. Calm your freaking self! Jeez and crackers.
We then get to some memorable moments, including Kasey singing, Kalon’s apology and the bromance between two dudes on Kaitlyn’s season.
They also show the moment where Chris reads Kaitlyn the emails where she is being bullied. Why would you do that again? She doesn’t deserve that again. Leave the girl alone and move on!
And….of course, there is CHAD!
Does anyone else remember JP and Ashley’s fake gender reveal? I know they revealed it before the special, but for some reason, they did it on TV instead of just saying it’s a boy.
All the eliminated guys return except for the ones eliminated night one that nobody remembers or cares about.
We get a recap of the season’s highlights, and I contemplate doing my laundry because this is boring AF.
Whaboom and Blake fight and everyone takes sides….you know what? I don’t care. They were on for a whole two episodes, and the fight is stupid.
DeMario! We hear about his girlfriend again, and he still denies it was anything serious. The guys fight some more and again, somehow, they attack Whaboom again.
Now Kenny and Lee….ugh, is this just going to be a recap of the fights this season?
I tune out because it is annoying me.
Kenny is in the hot seat, and we get a recap of his time on the show. The guys agree he may seem aggressive, but he is really nice. He just tended to get frustrated. Lee finally apologizes, and Kenny says he didn’t like how he liked to ruffle people’s feathers. Anyway, it is over, but they will probably never be BFFs.
Aw, Kenny’s daughter comes to see him and gives him a rose. Chris gives them a free trip to Disneyland for Kenny’s birthday.
Now Lee is in the hot seat, and they turn him into an attention whore. Um…what? We also see some tweets he posted last year, most of which are….not very nice. This causes him to be attacked and shamed by the other guys. It basically turns into a Very Special Episode about racism, and he denounces the ‘old Lee.’ Um, what? Is he apologizing or not? I am so confused, but not really paying attention, so I have no idea if his apology is sincere or not.
Lee and Kenny hug it out and all is right with the world.
Dean is now in the hot seat, and he get a recap of HIS time on he show. We hear about his family and how the show allowed him to confront his father about certain issues they faced in the past. He will also be on Bachelor in Paradise.
Rachel comes out to talk to the guys. She talks to Dean and he is still upset that he was rejected. She loves him, but not like that.
We also talk about her being the first black Bachelorette. She says race wasn’t an issue with her for any of it and that is what made this so great. She also thinks she had the opportunity to be a good role model to women.
Of course, she also confronts Lee, who apologizes again. She also says she will teach him about black history and women’s rights.
Rachel tells Adam she didn’t want to continue to lead him on after her feelings didn’t develop. She said they had something special, just not THAT kind of special.
Aw, Fred gives a sweet speech where he says he never saw her as the Bachelorette, but as Rachel. He says that he is glad he got to know her, even though it didn’t work out the way he wanted.
Bloopers! Um, yeah, I honestly have no response to any of this.
We get a preview of next week’s season finale and a look at her journey with the final three men. Who will she choose? We have to tune in next week to find out!
