Exclusive interview: Anika Rashaun Talks ‘Real World Seattle: Bad Blood” Drama, Joining Reality TV

If you are looking for a great reality show that is full of drama, then check out “Real World Seattle: Bad Blood.” On Thursday, I got the chance to talk to Anika Rashaun about the show, joining a reality series and the drama that viewers know is coming next. Here is what Anika had to say.

How did you end up getting cast on “Real World Seattle: Bad Blood”?

I was checking out the MTV website when I saw that the network was casting for the next season of Real World, and I just randomly thought to myself “Why not?”. So I applied and filled out a lengthy questionnaire and a just few days later I got a response and was invited to attend the open call. When I arrived at the open call, there were thousands of people waiting to be seen as well. Fortunately while I was there, a casting director told me they wanted me to proceed to the next step. After that came many more interviews, face-time calls, and flights to LA for the final round of auditions before I was eventually told I would be a cast member on season 32. It was a long process but definitely worth the wait!

Your ex-boyfriend showed up. Did you have any idea he was coming?

About a week into filming the season, the rest of the roommates and I began to suspect that there was going to be a twist so I had an idea something was going to happen early on. However, I was not aware that the Bad Blood cast members were going to stay in the house for the duration of the season, so I was not too happy about that news.

Any hints about what we should look forward to with him being there that you can share?

I think people will eventually get the sense that Will and I do our best to be cordial with one another. I can’t give out too many details, but I can definitely tell you there are a few storms that are going to hit the house this season.

Would you do reality television again after this?

Without giving away too much, I can definitely say that this isn’t the last time you’ll be seeing me on TV! I would only consider pursuing reality television opportunities that align with my brand, ASKANIKA. I’m working toward becoming a talk show host with my own show, and reality TV is a great foray into that, so I’d definitely be open to more reality TV!

What is your favorite social network for fans to follow you on?

I would have to say it’s a tie between Twitter & Instagram. You are able to get a good sense of my personality by following both platforms. Follow me! @NikaRashaun

My friend is a huge fan of hers. I will have to share this with her soon as the meltdown from the election ends. I know she would love to read this. At the moment though, she is too caught up in the drama of the new president so I know she would miss out on this and not fully enjoy it.
