Where Are Elizabeth and Jim Carroll on ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars’?

Tonight it was time for a new season of “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” on WEtv. I was really excited to watch this season with Jade and Tanner Tolbert from “Bachelor in Paradise.” I turned on the show, and all that I could think is that something was off. I finally realized that Elizabeth and Jim Carroll were missing from the show! What happened to the hosts?

Elizabeth actually went to her Twitter account to share that it was true they wouldn’t be back on the show. A fan asked if it was true that they wouldn’t be there and Elizabeth responded saying, “Sadly, it’s true😒But the real #MarriageBootCamp continues www.marriagebootcamp We will miss you all!” She didn’t explain at all what is going on, though. A lot of fans are replying about how upset they are because they love them on the show.

The site that Elizabeth is talking about shows what Jim and Elizabeth are doing now with other couples. They have marriage seminars and couples retreats. They have several going on over the next few months, but it is still unknown if this is the actual reason they aren’t on the show anymore.

Elizabeth did go to her Twitter about a month ago and share a tiny bit. “@JimMBC created the #marriagebootcamp 20+ years ago and we continue to help hurting couples and individuals. TV? We’re not going forward.” So basically, they are still doing it, but not on the television show. Jim did also reply to someone saying that they won’t be back.

There are two new experts there this season instead of Jim and Elizabeth Carroll. Dr. Ish Major and Dr. Venus Nicolino, a/k/a Dr. V are on the show instead. I would love to know what made them decide to make this change, but honestly, I don’t think that “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” will work as well without them on the show.

A “Bachelor” couple just joined the show for next season! Find out who here!

Thank you Mandy for your concerns and support! We will be able to say something soon but want to be sensitive to all the various parties involved in the TV Show. We LOVE all of the fans and will miss the weekly interaction. The most satisfying part of this wonderful venture was having people come up to me and Jim and share how we impacted their marriage through the show. And that is why we do what we do. We are called to serve and help heal marriages – such a deep, deep need.

Very disappointed you two will no longer be on the show. Could not make it through an episode with these new counselors and have already deleted this show from my dvr.

Jim and Elizabeth brought some class to a show very short of people with any sign of it. Shocked to see a guy named Ish and “V” short for Venus taking over. Unmarried couples in need of counseling were incredulous to me last season. Now the voices of reason are gone. Hope they keep the same type of exercises Will still watch, but with a great deal more cynicism.

I will not be watching anymore. The new hosts do not seem to have the same spirit that Jim and Elizabeth had.

I am truly upset that you and Jim are not doing the show. These two Drs. Just don’t cut it for me. Dr. V’s voice drives me crazy and I don’t like how they handle things.

The show is not the same, so disappointed you are not there. I am married for 51 years and watching you made me understand and correct things I’ve been doing all my life. I hope you return , it’s just not the same without you

Omg, marriage boot camp REALLY need Jim and Elizabeth BACK!!! These 2 new therapist don’t have the same impact on the couples as Jim and Elizabeth did. This have been a very helpful and informative. show to watch but I have to say this season is so disappointing. THE NEW THERAPIST JUST DON’T IMPACT THE SHOW LIKE JIM & ELIZABETH CARROLL. Marriage Boot Camp Need Jim and Elizabeth.

Just all wrong. Without Jim and Elizabeth you might as well cancel the show. I’ve seen Dr.Ish on another show he did well by himself for that shows content, but this is marriage and you need people like Jim and Elizabeth(they’ve been there done that) who can give better advice. They’re more comforting and the advice they give makes a lot more sense. They would have broken that Keke girl down by day 2. Not the same vibe, not the same show. These folks are not getting any help, nor are they changing.

It isn’t the same professionalism, class, knowledge, etc without Jim and Elizabeth.
    This season stunk.
I won’t be watching any further seasons unless they come back.

Well, I’ve watched the first season with the new counselors and I was apprehensive at first when they appeared instead of Jim and his wife. Nonetheless, I chose to stick it out and give the newbies a chance and it really wasn’t any difference other than the hosts. My husband can’t seem to get with the program in regards to not seeing the original counselors. I say to anyone whose apprehensive—just watch a few episodes before you throw in the towel. The concept is still the same, and while it may take you a moment to warm up to the news counselors they still are educated and give sound advice and instructions on relationships. I’ve started watching the second season with Chad Ochocinco and his unstable, insane mother and it’s still holding my attention. This second season with the new counselors mainly deal with family boot camp vs. marriage. I’ll continue to watch as the new counselors are warming up to me. 🙂

It is my assumption that WE tv wanted creative control and most likely wanted ratchet tv. More scripted sensationalized drama. Not REAL COUPLES SEEKING REAL HELP. My favorite season was season1 with REAL COUPLES WITH REAL PROBLEMS that we could all relate to which were catalysts for real conversations between my husband and I. This new b.s. with reality media whores is just scripted tv. The new version of “marriage bootcamp” is pretty much the halfway house of forgotten fizzling reality tv “stars” desperate to stay relevant and revive their “fame” aka notoriety/cash an easy check.

Oh no! I’m not even through the first episode on Hulu and this new female counselor in particular just seems so fake.. Like she’s just there for the tv show. Was soo excited to renew my subscription on Hulu and then saw a new season of marriage boot camp. But boo. Of course I’ll stick it out to see what happens.

I was introduced to the show halfway through the original season with the Carroll’s.

When I first heard of the show… even after a few minutes of the first episode I saw, it seemed to me that it was all about T.V. gimmick. The drama that get adults hooked (because let’s face it, deep down we all crave reading/seeing/hearing about celebrity drama or any type of issue which will deflect from our OWN personal/internal drama.

Once I opened my mind to giving it a chance, I came to realize that dispite the televized popularity and sensationality of it, the program had rationale… it made sense… it provided viewers (at least me) with a starting point…

In that the issues which their guests had, were issues which many of us – lower and/or middle class laymen/laywomen – could relate to.

With the new hosts, however, it seems that it is all about how the fame and money has affected their guests’ lives.

I miss the Carrolls and don’t like the new therapists as much. I’m still watching but I’m not as pleased.
