Fans of “The Young and the Restless” will be glad to know that Yvette Nicole Brown has booked a guest starring spot on the show in an upcoming episode. Soap Opera Digest shared the news about Nicole joining the show today.

Nicole is a super fan of soaps and is best known for her time on “Odd Couple” and “Community.” She will be appearing on the show as a reporter alongside Peter Bergman (Jack), Gina Tognoni (Phyllis) and Jason Thompson (Billy) on April 4.

Nicole spoke to TV Line about joining the show.

“The people at CBS found out that I’m a freakin’ fangirl. And they were like, ‘Do you want to go to Genoa City?’ And I’m like, ‘Um, yeah.’ It was probably one of the most exciting calls I have ever received. The only thing that could equal it is if I were to get a call to be on Sesame Street.”
