‘Dancing with the Stars’ Peta Murgatroyd Pulls Out of Season 21
Because she received a devastating email from her surgeon, Peta Murgatroyd will not be on at least the first part of season 21 of “Dancing with the Stars.” The email from her surgeon was to tell her that she would need surgery due to four torn ligaments and a floating piece of bone on her ankle. According to Murgatroyd, this was devastating news because the surgery will keep her off her feet for 6 to 8 weeks. It was even more devastating having to break the sad news to her dancing partner, Andy Grammer.
However, according to People on Aug. 31, he was a good sport about it. Although he was almost as upset as she was because he specifically requested he be partnered with her for season 21, he completely understood. Grammer even asked if she and her boyfriend could hang out with him and his wife some time as friends. Murgatroyd said that was nice and she appreciated that.
Murgatroyd says although she will be off her feet for a while, she is happy that she at least gets to assist Grammer’s new partner for the new season. She also said that she won’t be off her feet for long and will be back on the show during week 8 or 9.
What do you think? Will you miss seeing Peta on season 21 of Dancing with the Stars? Let’s hope for a speedy recovery for her and that she is back on her feet dancing away in no time at all!
