The Bates family of “Bringing Up Bates” on UP is speaking out in the wake of the Josh Duggar scandal. They are close friends with this family and have issued a statement after some mistakes that Josh Duggar made in his past came out.

Access Hollywood shared what this family had to say for their friends. The statement comes from Gil and Kelly Jo Bates and said “We are praying for our dear friends. We respect their privacy and have no further comment at this time.”

It is great to know that the Duggar family is receiving prayers from their close friends the Bates. At this time, the family is not speaking out a lot about what is going on and viewers are still waiting to hear if the show will be canceled or not. Right now TLC is not showing any reruns of the show “19 Kids and Counting” and they have not confirmed or denied a new season of the series.
