Planning a Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party for Your Toddler

Yo Gabba Gabba

The show Yo Gabba Gabba is all done in bright colors. Do not be afraid to decorate with a lot of color and balloons everywhere. You will want to set up your party area with bright colors and pictures of the characters from this show. You can print them out on your computer and then cut them out and laminate. Take them to a printing shop if you want a larger size of the picture. This show always has confetti falling from the sky when the show starts. Confetti on the ground will look great. If you would prefer, you can set something up where you pull a string and it actually falls from the sky onto the children. They love this kind of thing!

Food for Your Party

Of course you need a cake and ice cream for any birthday party. Sherbet is the perfect choice for ice cream because it is so brightly colored. You can order a cake made with the characters or just make a bright colored one at home on your own. Brightly colored cupcakes are also a great idea for small children. If you want something a bit more nutritious, make a fruit tray. You can use bright watermelons, cantaloupe, and strawberries. Make sure you get plates, napkins, and cups. You can find them with the characters on them or just use bright colors as well. Make a fruit punch of some kind or kool aid for the kids to drink.

Activities

On this show, they always let the kids show their dance moves and cool tricks. Have all of the children stand in a circle around the room. Let them take turns getting in the middle and showing off. They can dance or show some cool move that they know how to do on their own. The kids will cheer for each other and laugh at each other. This can be a lot of fun. Don’t forget to video tape this part! The kids can say, “Cool tricks, cool tricks,” just like they do on the show.

Print out extra pictures of the characters from the show. Let all of the children color one to take home with them. You can give them a small eight pack of crayons which are very cheap. They can take the crayons and picture home with them after they are done.

Don’t forget to send the kids home with a goody bag. You can find cheap items at a dollar store or craft store for these bags. Let them all take home a balloon that you used to decorate with as well.
